Jay Heiserman

Jay Heiserman Jay currently serves as the full-time Art Director for The Ellen Degeneres Show, for which he has received two Emmy awards for Outstanding Art Direction/Set Design/Set Decoration. In addition, he keeps busy with many other production designs in the Los Angeles area. Jay graduated with a BFA in scene design from The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, MO. At 5 years old, Jay can remember returning from a Junior Theatre production of The Music Man and re-creating the set he had seen on the Casa Del Prado stage out of wooden blocks and cardboard. For Junior Theatre, Jay has designed “actual” scenery for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Crazy for You, Charlotte’s Web, and The Secret Garden. Some of his favorite designs elsewhere include: Oliver!, Always…Patsy Cline, The Women, Amadeus, Cinderella, and Lost in Yonkers.
