Bill Hoese

Bill Hoese is a biology professor at California State University Fullerton and uses his experiences from JT every day in class while performing “street theater” to engage students in learning biology. Whether it’s dancing like a fiddler crab to illustrate animal communication or juggling pins while lecturing to demonstrate nervous system function, acting plays a pivotal role in exciting students about the wonders of biology. He is also director of the Southern California Ecosystems Research Program, which is funded by the National Science Foundation, and trains diverse students for careers in ecology and environmental biology.
