Jason Rao

Jason Rao Jason Rao went to the University of California at Santa Cruz where he balanced both theater arts studies with pre-med, graduating with a BS in chemistry. After working in the pharmaceutical industry for a few years, Jason went on to the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine receiving his doctorate in Molecular Medicine in 2001. From there, Jason was a fellow at the National Institutes of Health, and went on to a position within the U.S. Department of State working on the next generation of "Science Diplomacy" in countries like Russia, Indonesia and Pakistan. This year, Jason lived in Islamabad serving as the advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan. He is now living in Washington DC, working as the Director of the Bioengagement Program for the State Department, which provides assistance around the globe to develop safe public health and research capacity. Jason has found his training at JT to be very much the key to success; all the world's a stage- especially when you are representing the US Government!
