Leasa Hood Shukiar

Leasa Hood Shukiar is a native San Diegan and began performing at the age of 4 and was hooked from that first sound of applause. She attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts and couldn't wait until she turned 8 and could follow in her sister's footsteps and attend Junior Theatre. Leasa's performing has literally taken her around the world. She even fell in love while performing, when she met her future husband in a production of "Singin' In the Rain.". She is married to acclaimed jewish composer, David Shukiar. Leasa taught 3rd grade with Los Angeles Unified school district for 4 years until her first little performer was born and now teaches dance in Simi Valley, California. Leasa loves being a mom to her 2 daughters, Carly-7yrs. and Hayley-2yrs.
