All Balboa Park Campus classes are held in the Casa del Prado Building. Class specifics are subject to change without notice.There will be no class on November 11th, Tuesday prices have been adjusted accordingly. Registration is accepted through the first week of the session. However, we are strict about class size limits, and classes do fill. Please register early for best selection. | Story Dance: Beauty and the Beast for ages 3-5 |

Preschoolers will have the chance to explore creative dance movements and scenes through music from Beauty and the Beast. Each class meeting promises a new adventure for preschoolers. Students will engage in puppet play, scenery creation, and much more. Through the use of basic dance steps and creative movement youngsters will put together a mini-performance of the skills learned throughout the session.

| Rumble in the Jungle for ages 4-5 |

This new class will have students roaring. This class is a wonderful opportunity for actors to explore the performing arts. Actors will enjoy acting out different animal stories while learning about habitats, environments and endangered species. This class will use a variety of different games and activities to help students create different animal characters. Students will be encouraged to make a rumble each week. On the final day of class there will an open sharing for family and friends to meet all the wild animals!

| Pirates and Princesses for ages 4-6 |

Pirate adventures on the high seas, princesses in peril and those who save the day. What better way to learn acting technique than through portraying dynamic characters from exciting stories? Children will build skills in speech and language, movement and teamwork while having the time of their lives!

| Animal Tales for ages 3-5 |

A chance to explore wonderful literature that features animals! Through the use of the actor’s tools of voice and body, students will get a chance to create plays and become many different animal characters. Informal open sharing on the last day of class will give parents the opportunity to witness these wild and wacky animals!

| Story Drama for ages 4-6 |

Each week of this class will focus on a different story, tale or fable, and students will be on their feet acting out the roles. Some visual art projects enhance the theatrical nature of the dramas, and students will put a variety of skills to use in telling the stories.

| Wiggly Worms for ages 4-5 |

This class is for young children who are in constant motion. Students with lots of energy will be moving to music while learning about rhythm and beats. Youngsters will love creating musical instruments and marching on parades as well as reading stories and adding dance steps to go with them. Music is a wonderful way to explore movement and creative dance and Wiggly Worms will help young musicians to do that.

| Treasure Trunk Theatre for ages 4-5 |

What exciting things will come out of the treasure trunk each week? Music and movement, and great stories with props and costumes, and characters that beg to be acted out. Pretending is a powerful tool for learning, and children in this fun class will get messy with art materials, use their voice to become magical characters and learn to play with others while gaining an appreciation of the arts.
